That whiteboard you use for reminders, notes to family members and shopping lists, can also help improve your fitness level. Here are four ways it can aid you in getting or keeping fit.
1) This first tip is especially helpful if you can’t do all your exercises in one session. List out 10 or more basic daily exercises in a column on the right side of your whiteboard. Brighten it up by using different colored dry-erase makers. On the left, write the numbers one, two and three in front of each exercise. These numbers stand for one set of that exercise.
When you complete a set, mark a line through the number. Odds are you’ll be inspired to keep at it, using a few minutes here and there so you can make your target.
2) Want to keep track of other healthy actions? Write the day of the week on the left side of your whiteboard. Make a grid by writing the actions you want to incorporate into your daily routine across the top. For instance, you might want to keep track of exercise, vitamins, green smoothies, aerobics, weight lifting and so on. Draw lines between the columns. Each day you do that particular action, mark it off with a check mark. See how many you can do each day.
3) Use your whiteboard to keep inspired. Write a quote that will help you achieve your fitness goals and place the whiteboard where you’ll see it often. It’s simple to change the quote whenever you like.
4) Fitness can be a lot more fun when you make it a game with someone, like your spouse. Use the grid in tip number two. Each person keeps track of their actions with a different colored marker. Keep it fun and see who can do the most number of actions each week.
